McMahon Five

The entire McMahon Five Designs new releases are HERE

This sweet little bunny is from Studio 313 at McMahon Five Designs.  It is colored with Copics in pastel colors. There is a touch of Copic Spica pen for shimmer. The background is made with the Glimmer Mist Water coloring Technique by the Technique Junkies- it is so shimmery IRL. The shimmery velvet ribbon is from the Target dollar spot.

My next card- an image by Fairydoodler-Fairy Sitting- is so hard to photograph because of the shimmer on the card- another Technique Junkies technique- the background is from my stash, so I do not know what it is called....I can only guess.... it is very shimmery...that I know for sure!

I printed out the image on Vellum, colored it from the back with Copic markers and did the pierced vellum technique- Technique Junkies.  There are pearls added and punched butterflies with little pearls in the centers.  The peach dots around the Nestie and the shimmer on the wings is Mango Creative Inspirations paint.  Sentiment is by Create with TLC.

Creative Belli Challenge #114 Sewing

The Creative Belli Challenge is to use sewing on your card- you do not sew? Well, any sewing theme will work......think seamstress (stitching, buttons, seam tape, pins etc.)
I love to sew on cards, so that is what I did!

I used the Midnight Madness Sketch and a digital image, sentiment and digi paper freebies from Create with TLC.  I colored the image with Copics, added highlight with the Copic Spica pen. I texturized the rug a touch with blending solution for a little texture. I used a Stampin Up Sizzix flourish and flower punch that I have had for ages and has not been used.  I also dug out some embellishments from Gina K that I bough at least 3-4 yrs ago...and used them in the center of the flowers.  The flowers were scrunched up and crumpled then rubbed over with Mustard SU ink. I then spritzed the distressed flowers with Yellow Glimmer Mist.
The Spirit of the Belli is to use your Old and Forgotten embellishments- so take a look at your stash and come join us by going to the BELLI BLOG and linking your project.

And here is the card I came up with:
These images are from the Help for Katie Set #1 and are by Waltzingmouse and True D Doodle Designs (the clouds).  Perfect for my little nephew who has just been diagnosed with Wilms tumor of the kidney- and is recovering from having the tumor and his kidney removed.
I added Creative Inspirations Paint to the clouds and colored the image with Copics.

McMahon Five Easter Eggs- New Release Thursday

I had so much fun with this sweet image from McMahon Five Designs- no little ruffles for me anymore, but I loved to dress my kids up for holidays when they were little and am guilty for just loving the lacy bloomers under their smocked and frilly dresses!

I cut out this (unused) Nestie and colored with Copic markers. I thought embellishing it with a pearl pen would be fun (it's only a year old and unused....). Then I had to make some lace flowers and put pearls in the centers.  I added some Patterned Prima paper from M5D and the lace to the right of the image, sewed down a piece of fiber from M5D too. (You could add it with glue dots as well)..... The Patterned paper in the background is from a new release last week- HERE- and the sentiment is from TLC.  I added Creative Inspirations Paint to highlight the image and the sentiment- here is a close-up look:

Here are the links for all of the products I used in case you are interested:
